“Unidos Lake Chelan” Creator Makes Generous Donation

Ruth Escalera, creator and distributor of the popular “Unidos Lake Chelan” sticker generously donated the proceeds from the first 300 sticker sales to CVH– garnering over $1500 to support CVH’s work in our Valley. Ruth, a graduate of Manson High School and long-time Office Manager for Coldwell Banker Lake Chelan Properties, has a huge heart for community service. A new board member of Thrive, she also serves on the board of the Food Bank and Manger Mall. Ruth says the idea for the sticker came to her as she realized that a certain demographic of our valley was suffering disproportionately during the current pandemic, not qualifying for a stimulus payment or, in some cases, even unemployment. She determined to help those individuals however she could, and the idea for the sticker sales was born. A donation from a co-worker helped finance the production of the first 300 stickers, and more are in production now! Stickers may be purchased at $5.00 each by texting Ruth at 509-741-0174 or emailing her at ruth@cbcascade.com. Thank you, Ruth, for this wonderful community service!
