May is Mental Health Awareness Month! As we wrap up the month of May remember that it’s OK to take a pause to notice your feelings and then observe those feelings without judgment. One of the best things we can do for our mental health is to learn how to accurately label the emotions we are feeling. This is called Emotional Granularity. Research has shown that the more emotion words we can identify in ourselves, the better our mental health will be. This is because having the proper language to describe something helps us understand ourselves and then how we feel.
If you are interested in receiving mental health services C.V.H. has the resources to connect you to affordable mental health providers in the area. Call, email, or visit us today!
