Aid to Fire Victims

On Monday, September 14th, CVH’s board president, Michael Gibb, received a call for assistance to aid fire victims in Bridgeport. Volunteers who had assisted with victims of the Carlton Complex fires of 2014 were already coordinating relief efforts and assessing needs. The most immediate of those was for cash cards so that residents could purchase the items that they particularly needed on an urgent basis. Needs varied from fuel for transportation or generators, personal hygiene items, food, and feed for farm or ranch animals, among other things. Executive Director Jean Gambrielle and her CVH team immediately went to work sourcing scores of gift and gas cards, which were provided to the team on the ground for distribution to local residents that very day. Within a day, Chelan Valley Hope was there to help. You can help too by making a donation to CVH’s current Raising Hope campaign right on this website. All proceeds of this campaign will be used to aid the victims of the recent fires.
