The 2020 drive-through Red Kettle, complete with the supersized wine barrel “kettle,” was a complete success, raising over $3,300 for the Salvation Army/Chelan Valley Hope. Funds raised will return right here to our community to help those in need with temporary shelter, meals, transportation, and utility assistance. The 33 volunteers who turned out for the event were cheerful and enthusiastic despite the cold, and Campbell’s was more than accommodating, even providing a fire pit for volunteers to warm their hands by. Santa made an appearance, and elves were on hand as well. Lots of bell ringing took place too. Thank you to all the members of the community who showed up to donate so generously to the 2020 Red Kettle! It wouldn’t be Christmas without the Salvation Army Red Kettle, and 2020 was no exception, despite the change in format!
